In 1983 graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Speaks Hindi and English.

Entered the diplomatic service n 1983 and has held a number of diplomatic posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russia and abroad.

2005-2009 – Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chittagong, Bangladesh.

2010-2011 – Head of the Desk at the Second Department of Asia, Ministry of External Affairs, Russian Federation.

2011-2013 – Deputy Director of the Second Department of Asia, Ministry of External Affairs, Russian Federation.

2013-2017 – Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Since September 12, 2018 – Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chennai, Republic of India.
