On Business Mission of Moscow City Tourism Committee in Chennai

On August 27, 2024, a business mission of the Moscow City Tourism Committee took place at the ITC Grand Chola Hotel in Chennai. The representatives of the Moscow and Indian tourism industries attended the event. As part of the inaugural ceremony, Mr.S.Azarov, Acting Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chennai, delivered a welcoming address. During the function, the Moscow officials made the presentations on the tourism potential of the Russian capital and afterwards the parties held the b2b negotiations between representatives of the tourism industry of Moscow and South India, with 126 Indian companies participated in the talks.

Following the results of the business mission, the city of Moscow and Indian companies are planning to work together to attract more Indian tourists to the capital of Russia. At the same time, the parties agreed that the most popular types of tourism from Southern India to Moscow and Russia are business and educational tourism.
