Opening of Russian Dance Festival in Chennai
The Russian Dance Festival, held under the auspices of the Indo-Russian Cultural and Friendship Society, was opened at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Chennai as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Strategic Partnership and 15th anniversary of Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between Russia and India. The chief guest of the event was the prominent Indian dancer, Padma Vibhushan, Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam.
Consul General of Russia in Chennai Valerii Khodzhaev participated in a press conference on cultural cooperation between Russia and India and in the inauguration ceremony of the festival.
Indian guests warmly welcomed the performance of the dance group "Orchid" from Rostov-on-Don.
