Screening of the Russian documentary movie «Children of Donbas» in Chennai

On June 1, 2023, on the International day for protection of children, the documentary « Children of Donbas » was screened at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Chennai. The film was produced by the «RT» documentary channel. The documentary narrates genuine stories of the children of the Donbas region, who, since 2014, have been living under constant shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces.

Among the audience at the screening were also the members of Indian National Organization for Human Rights Protection.

After the seeing the documentary Mr. Oleg N.Avdeev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chennai; Dr. Renuka Kaliyappa, the President of the Indian National Organization for Human Rights Protection in Tamil Nadu; Mr. M.Pavitran, an advocate of the Madras High Court and also Mr. G.Nagarajan, the President of the South Indian Press Club, shared with the audience their thoughts about the film.

Mr. Oleg N.Avdeev mentioned the daily barbaric shelling by the Nazi Kiev regime of the residential areas of the Donbas cities, which have been recently liberated from the Ukrainian occupation. The innocent victims of this artillery bombardments are the young children of Donbas, who thus have been deprived of childhood by the criminal Kiev regime. These ghastly actions, totally condoned by the Western ruling elites and media, are the grave crimes against humanity.
