A relief flight from the Trivandrum International Airport for the Russian nationals, stranded in Kerala was operated by the Russian Airline “Royal Flight” on May 21, 2020. Facilitated by the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai 103 passengers boarded the flight to Russia, with 13 children among them. There were also three foreign nationals, holding residential permits in the Russian Federation, one each from Belorussia, India and Lithuania The flight followed the route from Trivandrum via Calcutta to the Russian cities of Yekaterinburg and Moscow (Video 1, Video 2, Video 3).

On arrival at the Trivandrum airport the Russian aircraft brought 104 Indian nationals, mostly students, studying at Russian universities.
