The webinar focused on the Higher Education in Russia was held at the Russian Center of science and culture in Chennai on August 21, 2020.

The participants of the event included Mr. Oleg Avdeev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chennai, Mr. Gennady Rogalev, the Director of the Russian Center of science and culture in Chennai, Mr. Ravi Chandran, Managing Director, Study Abroad Educational Consultants, Chennai, Ms.Natalia Alshuk, Vice-Chancellor for International Students Program and International Relations, Volgograd State Medical University, Dr. Timur Akhmetov, MD. Ph.D., Vice Dean of Foreign Students Education, Kazan State Medical University, Kazan, Mr. Sergei Titov, Administrator of the "General Medicine" International Educational Program, Far Eastern Federal University, Vladivostok.

Among the subjects discussed were application process, travel aspects and training for those Indians who plan to study in the Russian universities.

In his address Mr. Oleg Avdeev noted that the standards of the education in Russia are really high and the skills received during the study would become the basis for the students to be successfully employed in India and abroad at the governmental institutions and in reputed private companies.

Mr. Gennady Rogalev and Mr. Ravi Chandran added their views on various aspects of education, presenting required details and information for those who intend to choose Russia as a country of their education.
