In accordance with the Order of the Chief State Sanitary Physician of the Russian Federation dt. October 17, 2022, No. 22, the following updates to the protocols will be made starting from October 21, 2022

Before arriving on the territory of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and stateless persons are required to duly fill in a questionnaire form  in order to ensure sanitary and quarantine control at checkpoints across the State Border of the Russian Federation. The PCR test made not later then within 48 hours before entering the territory of the Russian Federation is no longer required.

At the same time, selective testing for COVID-19 has being organized at checkpoints across the State Border of the Russian Federation (according to epidemiological indications - complete testing for the visitors from countries where the epidemiological situation has worsened) for citizens of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and persons without citizenship, who arrived on the territory of the Russian Federation.

For the citizens of the Russian Federation, the requirement to undergo mandatory PCR testing within three days from the moment of arrival in the Russian Federation is also removed.

In accordance with the Order of the Chief State Sanitary Physician of the Russian Federation dt. December 4, 2021, No. 33, starting from December 8, 2021 a certificate of negative PCR laboratory test for Covid-19 is deemed to be valid within 48 hours from the date of its receipt.

The abovementioned medical certificate must be presented by any foreign citizen entering the Russian Federation, including for the purpose of transit.

In case of inability to provide the certificate in Russian or English, it could be submitted in the official language of the country in which the organization that issued such a medical document is registered. The Russian translation of the certificate must be certified by a Consular Officer of the Russian Federation.
